As an adjunct professor, Dr. Carter has taught numerous courses in nutrition, human performance, health and human disease, genetics, and bioethics at several universities. Dr. Carter has a Ph.D. in Physiology and Master of Public Health in chronic disease epidemiology. He serves on several scientific editorial boards, and is a scientific reviewer for 14 scientific and medical journals. Carter is the Director for Research for the “Take A Breath Texas” initiative. Additionally, he serves on the board of advisors for “Project Welcome Home Troops”, an educational non-profit organization geared towards bringing peace of mind to veterans.
